Paul Louis Mangan - Photographer
The subjects of my photographs range from portraits natural landscapes to abstract of refuse.Im interested in extremes from creating a pictorial analysis of reality within a world beyond rational order to decisive moments and harmony I love traditional photography and the magic of the darkroom, but also embrace digital technology
Making art is also a way for me to experience life more fully and with more intensity. To feel connected and vital, to investigate things, to explore the potential for discovery. Photography gives me the freedom, the space, the solace to express my individuality
I’m very interested in photographic impressionism, minimalism and surrealism. My work has been influenced by classic photographers like Man Ray, press photographer and Photojournalist “Weegee” yet more so by contemporaries David Moore and Jerry Ulsemann.
